YouTube Special: Washing Marley Twists
Why is it that as soon as you get a protective style, your scalp starts to itch in the worst way!? Luckily, it's my wash week so I went ahead and washed my scalp using an Apple Cider Vinegar rinse. I filled a spray bottle with 75% Apple Cider Vinegar, 25% water, and 10 drops of essential spearmint oil. Talk about instant scalp relief! When I washed my hair, I mixed about 90% Aveeno Pure Renewal conditioner with 10% ORS Olive Oil Creamy Aloe shampoo to act as a 2 in 1 Cleansing Conditioner. This way, I minimized manipulation. I used Oyin g\Greg Juice leave in conditioner and my homemade shea butter mix to seal. Check out my YT vid below to see how it all went down.

PrePoo Fun!
I've been prepooing for a while now and I love it! I pre-poo with VO5 mixed with some oils before every shampoo. I've never had a real reason for doing it, in fact, I don't even know why I started it. If anything, I only did it to make my hair softer and more moisturized. However, today I realized that prepooing for me is a great way to quickly detangle my hair. I remember when I took my yarn braids down, I thought it would be a nightmare to detangle. But in my usual lazy fashion, I just mixed up my pre-poo mix and put it on my hair. Even after having my hair braided up for weeks, there were no knots after applying the mix, and I could easily run my fingers through my hair to detangle. Besides the detangling properties of my prepoo, I also love the way it gives my hair movement and makes my curls pop. Below is a picture of my hair today, after I applied my prepoo mixture to it.

Hair of the Day: Second Day Fab Twistout
After wearing my hair in the flat twistout yesterday, I decided to retwist my whole head again, so that it would be fresh for Mother's Day. So that makes three times this week that I twisted my hair. I don't like to handle my hair that often so this was very out of the ordinary of my usual once a week styling. But at the end of the day, it was all worth it! This is by far the best flat twist out I've ever had. My hair has hang time in the front and it blows in the wind! I'll also be using my beloved Beautiful Texture's Moisture Butter to style from now on.
Hair of the Week: Flat Twists to Fab Twist Out
I'll be doing two separate posts for this hairstyle. Earlier this week, I did some flat twists using Beautiful Textures Moisture Butter. I kept the twists in for the whole week and I redid a few in the front because they got a little frizzy. Friday night I decided to add rollers to the end of my twists...lets just say that was a waste of time. Anyways, I did the twist out on Saturday and it was fab!

Classic Puff
Lately, I've been appreciating the simplicity of the low puff. Even though my hair is long enough to do a high puff now, I found that it's nice to do a low puff that doesn't require nearly as much pull and gel. This was my hair this past Sunday.
